About Us
Our Mission
We want to create the opportunity for as many students in New Hampshire to experience engaging, thought provoking, and fun hands-on activities that will allow every student to be involved and excited about learning in a cooperative environment. We’re hopeful that this experience will excite students to learn more about STEM opportunities as a future career by using STEM activities as a catalyst for students to become future Scientists, Engineers, Mathematicians, and Technology specialists. We’re also hopeful the teachers that visit our classroom will be inspired to do more STEM activities back in their classroom.
Our Vision
To be the premier Department of Defense youth outreach program for raising the interest in learning and improving the knowledge and skills of our nation’s at risk youth so that we may develop a highly educated and skilled American workforce who can meet the advance technological requirements of the Department of Defense.
Our Curriculum
Based on the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and science standards, our innovative curriculum brings science exploration, creativity, technology, and more together to engage learners and instill curiosity.
“Our goal is to motivate New Hampshire students to explore STEM opportunities as they continue their education,” said Mark Campbell, director of STARBASE New Hampshire. “We will work with school districts to ensure we are supporting their standards and learning objectives.”
Our School Year Programs
Our school year program is a 5-day program that delivers 25 hours of impactful learning to students.
Our goal is to be a complement to your teaching in the classroom while building lifelong learners and exciting students about learning.
Learning at STARBASE is interactive and we call it hands on, brains on learning. Students engage with real experts, technology, and new content, becoming leaders of tomorrow.
Our Facilities
Our facilities are built to engage learners. We have a large, beautiful classroom with two 85″ Smartboards and two 65″ TVs to help present and interact with the content of the lessons. Students will be utilizing laptops, 3D printers, Lego Robots, and Virtual Reality headsets. The students will have lunch in the spacious dining hall and if the weather permits, a short recess on the new artificial turf football field.
Our Summer Program
Our summer program is built to inspire young learners. In our hands-on four-day program, students gain experience with design, technology, 3D printing, robotics, and more. They merge creativity with learning, and we hope we can spark their interest and instill new passion.
